Problem & Purpose Statement
The project of DES 505 I worked with Dr. Fisher who committed to the design and development of older communities.
First brief:
Problem Statement
Current Step Stool solutions do not meet the needs of Independent Elders at home, due to a conventional design format that makes the Step Stools too tall, with stepping areas that are too small, and with no hand-holds to provide needed balance and stability during reaching.
Problem Statement
To Explore and develop an improved design standard that will facilitate a safer, more stable, and accessible means of reaching upper shelves.
Development (I changed the whole design direction):
Problem Statement
Current home walker solutions do not meet the needs of Independent Elders at home, due to a conventional design format that makes the walker too dull, without any working areas, and with no extra holders to provide needed multifunction and stability.
Problem Statement
To Explore and develop an improved design standard that will facilitate a safer, more stable, and diversity means to use the walker
